Osman practised in London working in the heart of the legal world before establishing Prolegis Solicitors. Osman has built his expertise in disputes involving copyright and trademark, breach of contract, fraud, asset tracing, construction and property disputes, professional negligence, clinical and dental negligence and high value personal injury claims.

Some notable cases

  • Representing an individual (who was listed in the Sunday Times Asian Rich List with a personal wealth estimated at more than £250 million), in Court proceedings brought by the administrators of a bridging finance company on behalf of a consortium of banks lead by Barclays Plc for recovery of some £120 million. The proceedings involved claims of fraud, asset tracing and freezing injunctions and concerned litigation in the UK, Spain and Pakistan.
  • Group Litigation (Leasing Disputes), representing SME’s in relation to mis-selling of office photocopiers. Allegations of misrepresentation, hidden commissions, incorrect calculations, unwanted insurance policies.
  • Representing various insurers under the CMR (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road) for insurance claims arising out of theft of goods in transit.
  • Representing and advising a group of international education establishments based in Dubai, UAE in relation to debt portfolio.
  • Successfully pursued a libel claim on behalf of a British Airways employee against a national credit hire company.
  • Successfully represented the owner of a piano bar in injunctive proceedings for passing off, breach of copyright and trademark.
  • Professional negligence claim against firm of Solicitors for failing to register an option to purchase on behalf of their company client.
